Here's another Weekly Meal Plan complete with handy printable shopping list. Meal planning will help you to save time, stick to your budget, enjoy a balanced diet, prevent food waste and have a stress free week! I swear by meal planning, it's very much become part of life since we've had children.

This weekly meal plan includes five weekday main meals and two lots of baked goodies to enjoy during the week. All this comes to just under £25 for a family of four.

I have pit together a handy printable shopping list containing all the ingredients you need to make all the recipes below. If you fancy following this meal plan, all you need to do is print off the shopping list and use it for your weekly shop. All the hard work has been done for you, so there's no excuse ;)

Weekday Mains

Monday - Easy Kedgeree

Time:  25 mins start to finish
Cost:  £1.46 per serving
Calories:  448 per serving

This Easy Kedgeree recipe is so easy, delicious and packed with vitamins. It also counts towards one of your two weekly recommended servings of fish. Also, fish is brain food so a perfect start to the week.

Tuesday - Creamy Bacon & Leek Linguine

Time: 15 mins start to finish
Cost: 98p per serving
Calories: 603 per serving

If you're looking for a super quick, satisfying and crowd pleasing recipe then look no further than this Creamy Bacon and Leek Linguine. It's absolutely delicious, requires just FOUR ingredients and is ready in less than 15 minutes.

Wednesday - Tomato and Goats Cheese Gnocchi

Time:  15 - 20 mins + 5 - 10 mins baking
Cost:  64p per serving
Calories:  357 per serving

Frozen peppers are the secret to making this Tomato and Goats Cheese Gnocchi recipe quick and inexpensive, but it also tastes delicious with fresh peppers or roast peppers from a jar. Use cheddar if you're not a fan of tangy goats cheese.

Thursday - Stilton and Broccoli Soup

How do you turn a bag of frozen vegetables into a feast? Make Stilton and Broccoli Soup! Stilton is such a strong cheese a small amount gives flavour without too many calories. If you're not a blue cheese fan try Cheshire cheese. Serve with crusty bread.

This Easy Sweet and Sour Chicken is quicker, lighter, tastier and far healthier than a take away. Perfect for a Friday night. It also makes a great casual dinner for friends served with prawn crackers and extras. Kids enjoy this one too.

Here's a couple of baked goodies to get you through the week:

Almond Biscotti

Time:  15 mins+ 40 mins baking
Cost:  7p per serving*
Calories:  79 per serving*

Biscotti are surprisingly very easy to make (and they do look pretty impressive too) and a good one to make with kids as they don't take too long. Swap a fat free biscotti for your digestive or shortbread.

Banana Muffins topped with Walnuts

Time:  10 mins prep + 15 - 20 mins baking
Cost:  10p per muffin
Calories:  242 per muffin

Banana Muffins are a great way to use up overripe bananas. Walnuts make a brilliant topping adding crunch and flavour as well as being a source of vitamin E, omega-3 fatty acids and iron. Healthier than frosting.
