Party like a panda 🐼 Panda Wonderland cake for Gabriella! Three layers of chocolate cake sandwiched and coated with chocolate ganache. Chocolate shavings have texture to the cake at the bamboo is chocolate wafer rolls with some rosemary sprigs. The little pandas are plastic toys - not edible. Epic letter board topper from @dindindies - absolutely LOVE these toppers! So chuffed with this cake - looks really effective. Check out my stories for more behind the scenes. Day 1 of half term. The boys weren’t happy about being carted along to Slimming World with me, but I was determined to go being my second week back 😬 (6.5lbs off this week incase you’re wondering 🙌🏻 still quite a way to go thou 🤪 but does really work - not sponsored I might add - I wish). Anyway, they cheered up considerably when we won the raffle prize 😀 a selection of egg gadgets and a box of eggs! 🍳 The rest of the morning was spent eggsperimenting with them, which you can check out on my stories. Sharing an eggy recipe which is perfect for half term - mini quiches with a ham crust. Great for making with kids and also perfect for Slimming World with just a few tweaks. Feeling a bit nostalgic seeing all the Valentine’s Day posts so thought I’d share one too. No iPhones then or creative photographers but I sure was skinny. My dress was a size 8 and it had to be taken in a bit - looking back I wish I’d worn a badge that said that on the day. Tonight I’m cooking steak and veggies in frylight cos I’m back on @slimmingworld 😂 more on stories if you’re interested. I remember when Rich put that ring on my finger, I was so chuffed to be married to him. I really loved him that day, but I actually love him so more now. Crazy birthday weekend 🤪 one happy little 8 year old (how is Daniel 8? I’m sure he’s actually 3). Sharing this recipe for one step creamy turkey bake which has just 15 mins prep and then you chuck it in the oven and serve with some steamed new potatoes or rice. Daniels bonfire & baking party today! Bit crazy but so much fun! Another cake for the occasion - Lego bonfire cake with toasted marshmallows. The fire was made out of melted boiled sweets and matchmakers. The rubble was hazelnut praline. Cake was chocolate. Topper was @dindindies 😀
Hot chocolate cake - inspired by hot chocolate topped with marshmallows - for my little Daniels 8th Birthday today! 4 layers of chocolate sponge (adding boiling water is the trick to a moist sponge made with cocoa powder) sandwiched and coated with dark chocolate ganache topped with homemade marshmallows. Recipe for marshmallows from @theflavorbender - the most amazing foolproof guide 🙌🏻 worked like a charm. Homemade marshmallows are my new fave thing, absolutely another level in confectionary. Toasted them lightly with my blowtorch - I love blowtorches 😀😀😀 Love the simplicity of this cake and the dark brown against the white. Birthday boy loved it too 👦🏻
